Prior to setting up the practice in 2003, principal consultant Simon Stephens was Managing Director of The Landscape Group Ltd, the largest contractor in its sector in the UK employing over 500 staff. Over a 20 year period he gained extensive experience in arboriculture, woodland management and in project managing complex external works on development sites.

In addition to an Oxford forestry degree, Simon holds a Technicians Certificate in Arboricuture and the Professional Diploma in Arboriculture, the UK's foremost professional arboricultural qualification. He has been an Associate and Professional Member of the Arboricultural Association since 1990. Wide arboricultural experience includes extensive experience working for local authorities.

Simon's experience has allowed him to bring together a group of associates, who work on projects, enabling the practice to provide a "one stop shop" dealing with all landscape related aspects of any project.

Simon's broad technical and management experience has equipped him to be an effective advocate for client's interests, and to take a lead Project Management role in development projects where environmental considerations are of key importance.
